Muscle Building Supplements

Pop this pill and gain 20 pounds in 30 days! Wow! Are these muscle building supplements for real?

We might get in a bit of trouble for this, but the entire muscle building supplement industry is lying to you. Thats right, flat out lies, nothing more, nothing less.

How do they lie? By using mis-leading terms such as "clinically proven" and "guaranteed to work". There is no REAL clinical study the majority of the time. A real study is published in a peer-reviewed medical journal, now thats a study. Most of the "clinical" studies conducted by supplement companies are done in-house or outsourced to a specific firm that manipulates the results to be favorable.

What this means is you spend the money, and build no muscle. When you realize you're not building any muscle, you think you need more supplements or you think you need other supplements, which keeps you in this money-spending cycle month after month.

Listen, the amount of supplements worth your money are literally a handful. Forget about the next best thing coming out next week. Here are the proven winners based on plentiful scientific evidence, real-world results, and most importantly, time-approved:

Whey Protein: Yes, you NEED whey protein in your diet, unless you can shove 4-5 chicken breasts down your throat a day. The best type of whey protein for building muscle is whey-isolate. Look for this on labels.

Creatine: Creatine is NOT dangerous, and it DOESN'T have adverse side effects as was rumored earlier. Plenty of studies have been done on this supplement for the past decade. Creatine monohydrate is the most well-studied form of this supplement, so its best to stick to this for building muscle.

Glutamine: You get a lot of glutamine through whey protein, but many experts recommend supplementing with an additional 5-10 grams post-workout, and there are some studies to back-up this claim.

ZMA: Short for Zinc-Magnesium-Aspartate. Most intense-training athletes, such as heavy-lifters, suffer from a zinc deficiency, which can lower you testosterone levels. Its a good idea to supplement with ZMA to make sure that you're not deficient.

Multi-Vitamin: Ah yes, a good old multi-vitamin gives you the micro-nutrients you need to build muscle. Its more of a necessity than a supplement...you should be taking one anyway. But, there are only a few good multi-vitamins on the market. The best kind are NOT at walgreens...the best kind are naturally extracted vitamins that are readily available on the internet. The GNC brand vitamins aren't too bad, but "X-tend Life" and Doctor Schultz's "Super Food" are the best.

You should know that there is no such thing as a true "muscle building supplement", because no supplement will directly build muscle. It will only aid in some process that helps you build muscle, indirectly. If you want a supplement that truly builds muscle, then anabolic steroids are the only option, but we don't recomment that for obvious reasons.
